Hey guys,
Well we are having to re-write the blog from Kigali that we put up the other day as it doesnt seem to have registered.
We travelled to Rwanda and stayed in a lovely hotel near the border. On Sunday the 5th we went to go and see the gorillas. It was a tough trek all up a steep mountain/hill. It was absolutely pissing down too so we were all a bit miserable but still quite excited. Our trekking group was us two, American Jeff, Kiwi Wendy, Dutch Seb, Ozzy Dan and English Jo. We eventually arrived to see the gorillas. Trackers went ahead of us and kept reporting back to say whjere the g's were. We crept up slowly and it was amazing as they were all there, cuddling because of the rain. They were absolutely huge. Ir was so amazing to see them knowing that they will be extinct soon. I got a bit upset as it was really emotional and overwhelming to see them in their natural habitat.
Later that day once we got back to the hotel we had to do a washing. We were filthy!!!!
The next day we all travelled to kigali, the captal of rwanda and visited the genocide museum. Anyone that knows me well will know i was very interested in visiting this and it was a lotr more upseting than i could ever have imagined. We all got quite upset.
Rwanda is a beautiful country. Most beautiful we have seen.
Love to all xxxx
