Kuala Lumpur!!! its crazy here! even more mental than Bangkok!! much better tho we'd say! its like what we'd imagine New York to be! the best part about it is that its so nice to be hot again! lol even if it is like 35degrees and extremely humid! the Cameron Highlands were far too cold for the clothing situation!!! its also been nice to indulge in some retail therapy after our jungle trekking weekend in the rain! KL is huge!! we went to Time Square shoping mall which has 13 floors and even has a topshop!! we arrived yesterday and went up the Menara Tower, which was very high but we couldnt see much as it was so foggy from all the pollution! then afterwards we went to Chinatown and had the nicest chinese ever before going shopping at the nightmarket and buying loads of cheap dvds!!! 2nd package that had to be sent home!! after that we went to a reggae bar, when we left there was when the nightnare began?!! we are possibly the worst people in the world at reading maps and what was meant to be a 10minute walk back to our hotel turned into almost an hour of walking around in circles!!! but we made it back eventually!!! the next day we got up early and set off to the Petronas Towers with a few people from our group, we went on the monorail which was brill, it feels like your flying!! so we queued for ages for tickets and went up the Petronas Towers, which are the tallest twin towers in the world, the view was better up there as it wasnt so hazy! then we got a taxi to the Batu Caves, which were a little disappointing, although we get starring roles in some bollywood film that was being filmed there! (lol starring roles as people walking around in the background:$) as we are maniac shoppers we seem to be living in the post office sending parcels home, but this one in KL seemed impossible to find! so we walked around for almost 3 hours trying to find the damn thing, which took up most of our afternoon! that night we went on one of our crazy group nites out!! we started drinking at 8pm (25 of us in one persons hotel room!) and played ring of fire, and some people were even worse than sophie!! we went out about 11pm to the beach bar and raved all nite to a crazy mix of music, and finally made it home about 4am for a few hours sleep before leaving KL the next morning!!!
