Day 46 Saturday 24th October 2009
Johno says
Arrived at Da Papa's guesthouse in Chaweng Beach on Ko Samui and spent the whole day by the pool which nicely overlooks the beach so you can jump in the sea at any point without getting sand everywhere. Joe from Bexley (who we met in Bangkok) strolled through our hotel after a 27 hour journey from Cambodia in the morning so it was good to catch up with him. Unbelievable - of all the hotels, resorts in Samui he was cutting through our hotel haha. Mmmm Pizza Hut for dinner…!!
Day 47 Sunday 25th October 2009

Another well lazy sunny day on the beach of Ko Samui (but guess it is Sunday right??!)!! Joe and his 3 mates from Blackpool introduced some female company for Stace. This is turning out to be quite a party island, with beach bars and some neon to the main strip up on the road side. We all went to dinner, and decided to have some cocktails. After a massive football watching session, we headed to some open air clubs. I thought it was a great idea to buy whiskey buckets for myself and Joe (with Stace doing the same with one of the girls!) which are about 6 shots in a little plastic bucket with a load of mixer and ice…! The only thing that spoilt the dancing (for about one song) was the fact that West Ham had equalised against Arsenal which was playing on a big screen above the dance floor. We are both loving the rest from the road, sea and air.

After initially waking up about 10am with the cleaner tapping at the window, and feeling very s***e, I told her no thanks today and went back to sleep until 2pm - oops! It was raining until about 11, so only missed 2 hours of sunbathing. J Then was just another day of lounging by the beach. We decided to do some exercise, so 5 of swam out to the rocks in the distance and back. Realising you could still stand up all the way out there. We all had a pretty chilled out evening with some nice dinner along the beach front.
Day 49 Tuesday 27th October 2009

Today was 'buy a jeep and circuit the Island' day. The six of us folded ourselves into a Jeep and hit the road - the car couldn't do more than 20 miles per hour and needed first gear to go up any hills, but other than that - it was fine!! Our 1st stop was at the next resort of Lamai which seemed really nice and a lot quieter than Chaweng then we went to see the grandfather and grandmother which were naturally formed rocks in the shape of a male and female's 'bits' which was something a bit different. haha. After a day of cruising the Island, we all went back for some rest and dinner. Then we played some cards which involved a game of Bullsh1t, stace apparently had '5 sixes' hhmmmm yeah, BULLSH1T!! haha. Then the drinking games came out!! We partied the rest of the night away in a club nearby...!!
Day 50 Wednesday 28th October 2009

Waking up very late today, we just spent the day lounging by the pool. And for dinner, we all returned back to the restaurant we ate in last night, and had another load of fish. A really nice meal. Then headed to a beach party, where we plotted for the evening, and enjoyed the entertainment of the live DJ, fireworks, monkeys, iguana, and eagles being plonked on us every so often.
