Excitement pure!
Just a few more days to go until departure... Last minute things still need to be purchased, planned. Tomorrow, I will lay out all kit and have a brief check on completeness and functionality. Need to make sure that all is packed and stored in the best possible way, keeping things dry and accessible seems to be of first and most important order.
Medication, as part of the equipment is an important element, bite do I really want to plan to get ill? Maybe I just have to see what happens and yea, some basics should be covered - and I have.
Do I really need all this paperwork with duplicate passport, credit cards, emergency details and the like? I mean, I am only going hiking...?! Yes, it's a little higher up than usual, but surely, I am not the first one to leave and to come back!? And who would want to use my credit card in the mountains around Everest? Never mind the Internet connection issues....

Having said this, Base Camp has WIFI....pretty cool at nearly 6000m!!!

So, I will try and report as beat and often as possible from my trip to Base Camp! It may be a little disjointed, confused (remember the altitude!) and not necessarily a literature masterpiece. But all this is not important! It Should be a 'stay in touch' tool, where we are all somehow able to keep on touch and share what's happening.... I may not be able to do this daily, but I will try anyway.... Maybe some posts will include more than one day's events, and that's cool too! Please share with me this experience.
