Thailand
Well I am sure you all are wondering what is going on with me....So here is the story;
When I arrived to Thailand I booked a flight directly to Koh Samui and took a ferry to Koh Pangnan (famous for the Full Moon Party).
We ended up renting a Kawasaki 250 dirt bike to tour the island and to see its many waterfalls. Little did I realize how powerful intuition can be...Maybe it was God, maybe Krishna, but someone was trying to get their point accross. I was able to see my accident appear before my eyes clear as day before it even happend. It happend not only to me, but also to Amrita. We both knew we would crash at some point (he had the feeling since the airport) but did nothing to stop it. We did not listen to the signs (our intuitions/visions).We both saw the accident not once, but twoice before it happend . The vision was so clear to me, that I was one hundred % positive that it would happen. I also told myself as we were driving that I should drive the bike and I felt very strongly about it. I guess it helped me prepare for it and not panic as it occured. Weird, I know, but powerful stuff...small price fro a priceless lesson.
Anyways, back to the accident. As we were coming around a bend on top of a hill, i remember getting ready for what was about to take place. Out of no where i yelled out "Amrita, No!". At that point there was still no car in sight. It was a reflex that I knew already... the future that was unfolding slowly. Two seconds later we were meet in the middle of the road by a pickup truck driven by four thai men. they are know to be inconsiderate of others on the roadways. Within seconds we tried to swerve out of the way...obviosly not enough because the right front of the truck him my right leg and flung us off the bike. The bike and Amrita were further up the road, as I lay next to the truck. I quickly looked doewn to my leg to make sure that it was still there as i did not feel as much pain as expected...actually it was painless for quite a while . I was so releived to see my leg in one piece, but because we creashed so hard, I was afraid that it was broken. also because when i touched my leg it felt like jelly from all the swelling and fluid which already was accumulating. It wasn't a pretty sight to say the least. I was yelling for someone to take me to the hospital. I was picked up and placed in the back of the truck that hit me (I thought they were being nice and cared, but they just wanted to make sure they got money from us). Sadly this was the only tour of the island that I got...in the back of a truck on the way to the hospital..lol. anyways, i managed to stay calm and took som pics of my leg of course...as i always do. my right sandal was lost at the site. I was carried and placed inside on the table where the doctor went straight to work on me. I was calm and collect as there is no reason to panic or to worry. those states of mind do nothing to help us...only harm us and make unecessary situitions. He washed my wounds as the nurse gave me a tetanus shot. I also recieved local aneasthetics for my toe so that the doc could cut the rest of my toe nail off. (I had no toe nail left). I was then bandaged up and ready to go home. I had to get my toe cleaned by a clinic 2x's a day and the rest I could clean by myself. I was also supposed to take antibiotics to prevent infection, but we had some problems with the price...we had to pay so much money for the treatment that we did not buy the medicine. We also had to pay 500 euros (650 dollars) to the truck that hit us and 1000 euro 1400 dollars for the damage on the bike (only a few scratches). They next day we saw ppl riding the same bike! We were lucky with our accident...so many people die on this island!!! Just before our accident 4 people rolled off a cliff on a four wheeler and died instantly! I thank god for everyday that I am alive! Everyday is a blessing!
I was not able to walk for a few days. We rested for two more days in Thailand and were on our way to Cambodia. I forced myself to walk...slowly and painfully...
Now that we are in Cambodia, the infection in my leg got so bad that I have not been able to walk since we got here (3 days).
I knew there was infection since I did not take antibiotics right away. So I saw a doctor here in Cambodia. He says my infection is in the muscle thats why I can not walk. I got an x-ray just to make sure that it was not due to a broken bone...luckily nothing is broken. Now I lay all day in my room. You really figure out who you are when you are stuck in a room with only yourself, your thoughts and no computer.
