Hello, We came to Belmopan on the Thursday and we were there for two nights. Belmopan is the official capital of Belize even though Belize city is much bigger and was the original capital on the coast. A big hurricane in 1961 wrecked Belize City and so the government upped and moved the capital right in to the mainland. Today we went snorkelling. It was my first time, what fun. We went on a boat to three sites. The first was The channel, so we did a 45 minute snorkel tour of the reef. Saw little fishies and lots of coral. Loads of fun. Then we went on to shark ray alley.
