Today we started off at the Concierge where they held the prisoners until their public executions. The most famous being Marie Antoinette. Today we went to the Palace of Versailles. It was as beautiful as I remembered. Unfortunately, the queens rooms were undergoing conservation work so we didn't get to see anything of Marie-Antoinette. When we got to the obligatory museum shop I was excited to find a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle of "The Crowning of Napoleon" At my last visit I bought the 4000 piece version and have never been able to complete it as I haven't had a table big enough - it's over 1.5 m lon...

Today is Museum day! We walked from our apartment to the Louvre (which took about 20 minutes) and then another 30 to get through security. The measures in place seemed woefully inadequate to the amount of people trying to enter. We meandered through the museum on our way to find the Mona Lisa and then spent another hour looking at various works of art including the Venus De Milo. Today we caught the train to Disneyland. The train/metro system seems a little more complicated here that in London. The weather was a bit cool but the park was quiet so the average wait time on most rides was 5 - 10 minutes. Being winter, it also meant that some of the rides were closed, mainly those that were water based. Lisette had a great time - the rest can just say they have been to Disneyland now!
