Part 6 1 hour cruise on the river Spee. A view of the buildings and parks of Berlin, not to mention the riverside bars with deck chairs on the bank providing excellent sunset views of Berlin. After this a stroll along the river banks, dinner, a cup of tea and back to the hotel for a 'well earned' rest.

Part 4. Going to the top of the TV tower to get extensive views of Berlin from 200 metres up. The photo here does not give a good view of the views, but we liked to towers shadow in the shot.

Part 3 of the day was the tour of the Protestant (Reformation / Luther/ Melancthon) Cathedral called the Berlin Dome. It has an incredible history, due to the political workings of the then ruling monarch, but also due to WW2. It has been reconstructed and is a wonderful place of worship. Part 2 was walking tour. An very moving part of the walking tour was the monument to The 'murdered Jews of Europe'. This is a series of grave size pillars, set in the ground, that you walk through. Their sizes vary, but at each juncture you can see park or greenery, symbolizing hope. Big day in Berlin. Part 1 was buffet breakfast at the hotel which included champagne, a first for us. Part 2 was a walking tour of Berlin included things such as Bandenberg Gate, Reichstag, Bundestag, Hitlers bunker, Concert Hall and Checkpoint Charlie. We had an amazing tour guide who was on the wall when it came down in 1989, who added so much to the tour. Pictured is the Reichstag.
