Landed in Orlando very late with delayed flight. However they did upgrade us for some unknown reason between Miami and Orlando. Pity it was only a 50 minute flight, still first class was very nice. Went to Kennedy Space centre, gosh it's hot!! It was very interesting and inspiring if you can get past the sentimentality. It was a welcome stay at a lovely Hilton on Cocoa Beach. Narn always does excellently on the hotels!! Thanks!! Got rained on as we went shopp...

Thursday 14/7 Got ourselves organised and took a trolley ride and then a final lap of the French Quarter, including a stroll through an under repair Louis Armstrong park and along the Banks of the Mississippi. Flying to Orlando via Miami, getting in very late, 11.50pm ish. Then hopefully Kennedy Space Centre tomorrow, before staying at Cocoa Beach and boarding our east Caribbean cruise Saturday morning.

The dates on our blogs keep changing, something is happening there I can't work out. Most of the blogs for the 11th were put on yesterday 12th. Anyway, today is definitely Wed. July 13 and we took the trolley down St Charles to the Garden District and strolled up Magazine. This is so different to the French quarter; lovely tree lined avenues and beautiful homes. This is much more acceptable to Kathy than the "den of iniquity" that is Bourbon St?!?!

"Free" jazz. A group of young musicians "jamming" on the street curb, literally making it up as they go. And they just keep going and going, each taking turns to lead along, and somehow making the whole thing sound alright. I watched for 20 minutes and they had been going well before I got there and continued well after.

Preservation Jazz Hall, classic jazz by masters. Every night of the week, you can hear them. Outstanding! We had dinner on Bourbon St a couple of nights and Kathy had the best ribs of the trip on a balcony overlooking the street. All along Bourbon Street there were bands and "other amusements." Different types of bands , an assortment to suit almost every taste.
