Awoke late....at least A awoke very late. Sleeping all out of wack. Explored other end of Hong Kong island towards Hollywood Rd. We were sent inside the shopping centres by a great thunder storm. The loudest thunder we've heard for awhile. As the sun set we walked to the Peak Tram (along with a multitude of others) and went up to the Peak, had dinner at the Bubba Gump restuarant and returned.... Flew in after 20+ hours in transit. We are staying on Hong Kong Island this time and went exploring in the late afternoon and evening. Wandered along Lockhart and Hennessy to Tomes Square. Kathy found a place to get her nails attended to and then we had a wonderful authentic Chinese dining experience. Wandered back.... Kathy would like to know how much walking we have done this trip.... Hundreds of ks.

After a late leisurely breakfast we strolled through the streets near our hotel, aiming to walk through a park we saw on the map. When we found it we saw it that is was row upon row of huge tents and marquees. After awhile we saw the bier signs and realised it was the Oktoberfest site. Rather large! Taxi to airport and off the Hong Kong in the last leg of our enlightening tour that really took us back to our Prussian roots.

Munich really is a very lively and pretty city. The hop on off tour was very good, showing the highlights, great buildings and parks. This is Nymphenberg Castle; magnificent!

Bier Garten, Englische Garten in Munchen. Saturday in the park as one of the stops on our hop on off tour. Huge beautiful park with thousands in it picnicking, sunbathing, playing on a hot summers day. Lunch in the beer garden, one of the largest in Munich (with 7000 seats!!!) Oom pah band playing , lager, pils, Schwarze diesel, radler, bratwurst and pork knuckle aplenty! Prost!
