Dinner in the Brau Haus with authentic German cuisine. I had the bratwurst and Kathy has the black pudding. Following this we joined the locals watching the World Cup final which Germany won 1-0 over Argentina. A bit of fireworks and street celebrations happening around midnight but it didn't go on for too long.

After an early start, we took the metro to the Berlin Bahnhof and caught the ICE (fast train) to Wittenberg, arriving at 9.30am. We spent the day acquainting ourselves with W, visiting, amongst many places, the Castle Church (pictured: where Luther nailed the 95 theses on Oct 31, 1517) and city church where he worked and preached over 2000 times. Our scheduled walking tour was interrupted by a thunder storm (how ironic given Luther's pledge during a storm). Main ...

Part 5 was attending evening worship (6pm) at the Berlin Dome.

Part 6 1 hour cruise on the river Spee. A view of the buildings and parks of Berlin, not to mention the riverside bars with deck chairs on the bank providing excellent sunset views of Berlin. After this a stroll along the river banks, dinner, a cup of tea and back to the hotel for a 'well earned' rest.

Part 4. Going to the top of the TV tower to get extensive views of Berlin from 200 metres up. The photo here does not give a good view of the views, but we liked to towers shadow in the shot.
