80 (Monday)- After a 12 hour journey with 3 hours sleep, and leg room that would have mini-me's kneesup against his face we have Just arrived in Melbourne and it's cold.....very cold!!! After working out what tram we had to get, we ended up hoppin' a train (didn't realize you had to pay) to the hostel. Arrived at the hostel at 9am, but couldn't check in till 12pm, we were treated to some free pancakes and family guy on dvd. Ended up falling asleep. We were awoken by the girl on reception who gave us our key to what would be our room for the week. Bags in it was time to book up the neighbours night which includes a live performance from The man himself Dr.Kennedy and his band!!! after catching up some sleep it was time to head off downstairs for the neigbours night. After an hours worth of waiting the cast was introduced which on the night inckuded, stu, marco, dr karl and some other guy. After a few QandA's where my question got read out!!! we played a quiz where you could win some prizes and then they went round the room speaking to people and it was a chance for everyone to get their photo op. After about an hour the cast left which ment it was time for dr karls band to perform live on stage.....they ended up to be suprisgnly good and chose a few good cover songs that got the ladies screaming out karls name. With alot of alcohol we had a good night, and the cast to be fair to them wern't stuck up and seemed to love the attention, another box ticked on "things to do before i die"!!

81- Waking up with a sore head and still tired from the trip down we decided to chill at the hostel and ended up getting to know some people. After a few movies the drinking soon begain again, and it was "free wine and chesse night", which ment we were getting drunk again. After a few messy drinking games we headed to an indie bar, which was dead but it was a pound a pint so no complaints, it was then time to head to the cushion club, where some dance moves were being pulled off right left and centre, whilst tryin not to spill our drinks. Good night had!!

82- Feeling rough again we decided to postpone the bike ride in the mornin' and sleep off the headaches, it was another day of not doing much. after building up an appetite we headed out for some fresh air and found a nice little place where D could pick up a pizza. Turned out to be a very good tasting pizza!!! Back to the hostel and we just chilled.

83- Time to see some of melbourne, we decided to hit the Main shopping area as my coat got covered in wine, and D wanted a hat and scarf. Jumped on the tram (paid this time), and off we set. We decided to go our seperate ways so we could get what was needed. Meeting back up again D wanted a subway and then demolished a foot long meatball sub! Back to the hostel for another chilled night!

84-UP early for pancakes but still feeling tired went back to bed for another 2 hours, as a big night was planned!!! After getting dressed we headed to chapel street with some of the people from the hostel as it was dave and janes birthday. They decided to have a fancy dress party on the sunday, anything begining with a D and J, after sorting out our costumes (see the pics) we headed back.

85- After another big night it was another late day of getting up. I met up with the german Lars and we headed to the casino to take a look and spend a few dollars. D stayed and chatted with her new friends and sorted the hostel for NZ. As my luck was down me and lars headed back, and with another big night in store 2moz we decided we'd just chill and watch a movie on the big screen.

86- Up nice and early the party was due to start at 3pm but got off to a late start. IAll in costume we ehaded down stairs in our D and J outfits , but soon ended back in up in the lounge playing drinking games with goon....lethal to say the least. A lot more drinking and a few games + many photos, we all ended up having a good night and some random chat.

87- After the exploits of the night before there was no noise in the hostel till 2pm, no one really done anything for the whole day.

88- Our last day. We said our goodbyes and headed to catch our flight to NZ. An excellent time in melbourne where we met a great bunch of people. On the whole australia was a good laugh, we both prefered the top end though mainly for the weather!! After a few cock-ups by our air line we were soon up in the air saying goodbye to OZ....it's gone fast!!!
