Around the world with Annie
I was on the road for 7.15am and I arrived into Gardiner at 9.30am. It a very small community and borders onto the National Park. It's only populated by 800 people.
I have a small cabin all to myself and its wonderful. I have a double bed with a private bathroom and small kitchen. It will be the first time I have slept in proper bed for weeks, let alone have a private bathroom. (No more bunk beds). It's heaven. The room even has air-conditioning. You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to some quality sleep in a real bed. The simple pleasures in life are the best......
I'm having a quiet day today to prepare for my field-seminar, which will starting in a few days. It feels I've been on the road for days. I have slept in a different bed in a different place each night for over 6 days.
I'm now stocked up on my food and re-organised my ruck-sack so everything has easy access. All my clothes are washed too.
I won't be able to up-date my journal for a few days becuase I will be in the back country hiking and learning about ecology, geography, vegetation and wildlife, aswell as taking hundreds of pictures. I've already stocked up new batteries. The pictures will be worth waiting for. I will join a group of 10-12 students
I will be joining a bus-tour tomorrow morning. (7.15am). It will take me around the Park and drop me off at one of the lodges, for a couple of nights and then I move onto the Buffalo Ranch for 5 nights where I join the seminar. I can't wait.
If I have the opportunity to up-date my journal I will.
So until next time.
Take care,
Lots of love Annie
