There was a rush on for appointments at the 'fish feeding'pedicure shop this morning given Anthony's astonishingly glamorous results last night, and discussion as to whether the fish who hoovered Anthony's and Lou's feet last night at the 'beauty parlour' became our whitebait at dinner? Our late and generous portions at dinner made breakfast impossible this morning.
The other boys and I were more sceptical and I opted for a run/walk (surprise, have lost a bit of condition) along the coast. Totally gorgeous! Found the boat building yards, around the next corner a rock ledge equipped with the obligatory pay-for-personal sunbed-&-umbrella, then next all bush with stone paths leading down the cliff face to coves of brilliant clear waters for swimming. I passed an almost tonka toy size truck being loaded with rocks, then passed it again some time later where rocks were being unloaded to build a house! Cheap building material and plentiful.
We farewelled Symi and headed to Datca, back inTurkey, more stamping
of passports and a whirl around the town before lunch and setting sail for Knidos. Sorry, cracked record, more gorgeous turquoise and Reckitts blue-bag water, unpopulated Turkish cliffs and hillsides... apart from goats, and the odd coastal village.
Knidos, at the end of the Datca Peninsula our overnight stop at anchor. Another pile of rocks to explore tomorrow!
