Poor Fatih had to swim for the canoe he didn't tie up well this morning. So, I did get my kayak around the bay and a swim before we set off from our overnight mooring at 2 islands joined by a small beach, not far out from Bodrum. No, I don't remember the name! Woken up by goat bells followed by a quick dip from side of boat in another bay on Kalimnos. Following breakfast a great snorkel along the cliffs - loads of fish in schools, none of edible proportions! Remnants of sea urchin feasting near a tiny pebble beach, a large engine, & several individual or small groups of brightly colored, almost tropical looking fish. Final night aboard for 4! Headed south and chased around Kalimnos to find a sheltered bay to spend the afternoon and overnight. Julia, Vicki, Kerry & I had a great time behind the speedboat on tubes with handles - guaranteed best backside massage! Our Captain gave me my first try on waterskis. Great fun, but I resigned before it became a deathly dull spectator sport for fellow passengers and staff. Something to master another time! Farewell dinner included...

Wind whipped up early after calmer night & much hilarity over dinner & quiz antics! Vicki & I paddled around the bays this morning, coming home a wet workout! Bee boxes were set amongst flowering wild thyme bushes above one bay, small caves in the cliffs of another, all were deserted, no houses, boats, or goats to be seen. Left our isolated, semi protected bay on Samos at sparrows after a tough night. The crew spent most of the night securing & resecuring the boat as huge gusts came through. One mooring rope had to be dropped, leaving the anchor on solo duty. Everything on deck was wound in, or secured downstairs. No rain, warm wind, black sky, some big waves. Love a bit if excitement!
