Up earlyish to move to a posher hotel for a bit of luxury at Shangri La's Rasa Hotel on Sentosa Island. The afternoon was spent frolicking in the outside jacuuzi, walking on the beach and swimming out to the small manmade islands which surrounded the beach. We hid out of the afternoon's tropical storm and ordered some sushi from a beachside restaurant to take back to our room. We set about shopping in Singapore. Binoculars, trousers, contact lenses, shoes and suits (lots of suits - many more than we had planned...) were all procured from the various malls that seem to populate the city.

A long day. Our train was 7 hours late by the time it got to Kuala Lumpar. A quick turnaround there (stocking up on food) and then we were on our final train to Singapore. No delays on this part but still the train took around 8.5 hours...

We woke to find our carriage had broken its axle (or somesuch) and had to shuffle our stuff together before moving to another part of the train. Arrival in Butterworth was about 2 hours late but we still had about 6 hours to kill before the connecting train to Kuala Lumpar left. Breakfast was taken street style, consisiting of banana pancake (with drizzled condensed milk), coconut shapes, iced coffee and fresh mandarin juice. after checking out we headed for an all over body masage at a local establishment.
