26/2 a further 3 hour drive to Botany Bay to stay with John and Yvonne who we met up with last year. The local Rotary Club took over the cinema in nearby Cronulla, and we went to watch 'The Second Best Exotic Hotel' which was hilarious and better than the first.
27/2 David's 65th birthday. Took the train into Sydney to see Tom's friend, Laura, become an Australian citizen. Ceremony took place in Sydney Town Hall where 170 people from 42 different countries took the oath. Laura's sister, Nadine, a BA steward, the was over for a short stay and a great time was had by all. After the formalities, fizz and Aussie treats like Lamingtons, mini Pavlovas and Anzac biscuits were on hand and we were the last to leave! As it was a joint celebration we had some more fizz at the Opera Bar on Circular Quay before being joined by John and Yvonne for a meal at a restaurant at Darling Harbour. Fireworks are set off in Darling Harbours at 9.30 on Fridays and Saturdays and so we had a free display while we ate. The
