We both thought we deserved a 10 day holiday after such a exhausting experience haha.
From Bohol we got: a taxi to the port; a ferry to cebu; taxi to the airport; plane to kalibo; bus to claticlan port; boat to boracay; tricycle to the hotel. Very looong day!
Boracay is the tourist resort of the Philippines. 100's of restaurants, bars and shops are scattered around the tiny island. The majority of them being situated across white beach.
White beach is, well, white. White sand, clear water and the best sunsets we've ever seen. We made full use of this paradise setting throughout the 10 days we were on boracay and didn't really leave the beach. We are both now borderline professional Frisbee and volleyball players, as well as professional sunset photographers.
This blog is our shortest and least interesting we've written because basically that's what we did. There wasn't anything on boracay that we haven't already done and it was 5x the price of anywhere else we've been. So we lay on the beach, drank beers watching the sunset each day and ate good food.
In the next four days we have 23 hours worth of flights, goodness knows how many hours in a taxi and an unbelievable amount of time sitting in departure lounges.
It seems like yesterday we were dropped off at Plymouth station to start our journey. We've had the most amazing time and met an incredible amount of people from almost every part of the world. We've seen some of the most incredible things on this trip, learnt a lot about different cultures and the way we live and went as boyfriend and girlfriend and coming back engaged!
The trip has also hit home how lucky we are to be British, how ungrateful we were as kids and how lucky we are to have the families and friends we have. As well as this we have learnt how to identify if a lady is actually a boy!
We hope to both be coming home to start our careers and start saving for the next one! We also hope you've enjoyed reading our blogs as much as we've enjoyed writing them. You'll hear about everything again when we're home I'm sure. See you soon and get the heating on and start queuing at Anthonys fish and chips and they maybe ready in time for when we get back! X
