Flew to Cairns and staying north of there in a little town called Port Douglas. Visited Cape Tribulation today, site of Captain Cook's boat problems. Also visited a Wet Tropical Rainforest, dating from 120 million years ago. The Amazon which I visited in my Peru trip, is 'only' 40 million years old, we were told. Very high number of species/varieties/anything, found in Australia, owing to its separation & isolation. Real rainforest fruits ice cream too! Tiny...
