Day 1 in Morocco. Spent it mostly trying to sleep and rest up from the journey here. Finally arrived! I’ve been up about 36 hours and am very ready for sleep. I had tried to arrange for an airport transfer to my hotel and a late 1am check in, but never heard from the hotel despite several messages left! I checked my messages on arrival and had an email from the website I booked through that my hotel booking had been cancelled! What!?!? So the next adventure begins. A month in Morocco with a short stint in Lisbon on the way home. Discovered my flight was cancelled when I arrived to the airport today but fortunately was able to get rebooked on an Air Canada flight with a short layover in London. Got up early today for the famed drive to Hana. Last time I was here I only went as far as Paia, but this time went all the way past Hana to Waimoku falls.
