I'm actually writing this about 3 weeks after being in Xi'an so it probly won't be very detailed and probly in the wrong order :(
19/3 (i think) - We arrived in Xi'an and did a bit of exploring, i think we may have gone to the muslim quarter to do some more market shopping (and more haggling). We all had dinner together then went to bar street to see if there was anything good, but drinks were a bit more expensive than beijing :( and the bar put on some cheesy power ballads as they probly thought that was what us westerners liked to listen to :P they are huge celine dion fans in china btw, and backstreet boys :P
20/3 - we went to the terracotta warriors today (or pottery soldiers to some ppl :P) was very interesting, but seemed to disappoint a lot of ppl, probly just because it pissed it down!! it was amazing how they have managed to put the warriors back together, apparently takes 1 person 3 months to reassemble 1 warrior! but they were quite far way, not that i was expecting to be able to climb on them. was still a fun day out :) dinner was really fun this night cos we tried to order for ourselves without a leader, but the menu was only in chinese. the owner was so nice tho, and he actually rang someone who could speak english to translate for us! and gave us free coke, and the food was amazing!!
21/3 - weather was really good so we all did a bike ride around the city wall of Xi'an, we hired tandems which was so much fun, and rode around for a few hours making a lot of noise and singing a lot of songs :) then we left for the next sleeper train that night, heading for Shanghai!
