29/3 - We set off quite early to head for the longji rice terraces, we dropped our bags in guillin so we had to live from a day pack for the next 3 days-ish! It took a few hours to drive up to the rice terraces but was a nice drive, amaing scenery the whole way! When we got there we had to walk to our first guesthouse which wasnt easy because it was so humid!! the guesthouse was very nice considering it was kind of the middle of nowhere! 25/3 - arrived in guillin and got the bus straight to a small town called yangshou which is quite popular with backpackers. the bus ride was nice because the limestone hills surrounding the road made for a nice view the whole way. After a couple of hours we arrived in yangshuo where we stayed in "fawlty towers" hotel, which was nice enough. The town was really nice, much more relaxed than the big cities we had been to so far but still with plenty to do,...

22/3 - we arrived in shanghai and it was raining, which it always seemed to do on our first day in each city :( we did a bit of a tour, went to see the bund but was so misty we could barely see across the water. i think it was this night that we went to see the shanghai acrobats, who were absolutely amazing!! everything they did was unbelievable, everytime you thought the stunt was over they'd maek iot even more crazy and spectacular!! they finished with riding 5...

I'm actually writing this about 3 weeks after being in Xi'an so it probly won't be very detailed and probly in the wrong order :( 19/3 (i think) - We arrived in Xi'an and did a bit of exploring, i think we may have gone to the muslim quarter to do some more market shopping (and more haggling). We all had dinner together then went to bar street to see if there was anything good, but drinks were a bit more expensive than beijing :( and the bar put on some cheesy p...
