7th Jan: Bangkok. Got down to Bangkok early morning after the 12 hour bus journey - quite easy going, but they are funny - they showed half the Chronicles of Narnia, then the second half of Mission Impossible 3, then when everyone is asleep, they stop off for food at about 12.30! Anyway, that day I had a real mission for money! I had to sell 2 books so I could phone home to sort money out, which was managed. Then I went to my favourite Irish Bar that night to watch a live band and while there, I met another Pearson!! A girl with the same initials so she was A J Pearson and she had lost her passport - so a real Pearson!! I was chatting to her plus a couple of others and had a really good night and aranged to help poor Mrs Pearson at the tourist police and British Embassy the next day! - I had nothing better to do!

8th Jan: I got up feeling a tad ropey! Checked out and booked a bus ticket to Koh Tao, then met up with Alice Pearson and we went on a wonderfull day of Embassy's and Police reports and laughed every time she signed something, as the signature was the same as mine! Anyway, I went back to Bangkok and got my bus again - pretty easy, but it was to be a slightly longer journey!

9th Jan: Got dropped off at a cafe at around 6.30 am and had to wait for another bus for an hour. Then when that arrived, went to the port to catch the ferry... but I missed the ferry as I'd mis- placed my ticket and they wouldn't let me buy another. So I was left stranded and told the next ferry would be 8.30 am the next day. I was pretty annoyed and had no idea what to do. I went back to the cafe where I'd been and found my ticket, then found there was a ferry to Koh Samui at 3 that day. As I knew Di Brake (from back home) was there, I booked it.  I waited from 9 till 3 and had another bus journey. I was finally on a ferry and eventually on Koh Samui at 8.30 - 26 and a half hours after leaving Bangkok! So I went out in Koh Samui and met Di. The place was expensive, noisy and full of idiots! I did manage to have a good night, but really did not like the place and it was to be my first and last night there!! The next day I headed to Kah Pha Ngan with Di!!
