We met up with Charlotte at the hotel, as she was already here. We decided on a nap and got together at 5:30 to go exploring. We went to a quaint little pub near the hotel called, The Prince of Wales, for some fish and chips and then decided to head over to see about a boat tour as our cousin, John suggested. We were shocked with Big Ben appearing before us when we exited Westminster Station and in that moment, this trip became real. We're ACTUALLY in London!
After being "shot" by a street performer, which has caused great amusement for Andy, we discovered that apparently the boat tours end early in the day, so we crossed the Westminster bridge to see if there were any tours on the otherside. There weren't, but we got to see so many other great sites and walked all the way up to Tower Bridge (3 miles +) before catching the Underground back to Victoria Station. By now we're familar with the streets around us in and around Pimlico, so we didn't have a problem finding the hotel.
Our hotel room is small, as is typical with European hotels/bed & breakfasts, but our WC, is rather apprpriately named! Take a look at the Photo Album to see a picture. If you've gone camping before in camper or caravan, you've showered in a more spacious and luxurious space than what we have to work with. You can literally sit on the toilet and rest your arm on the sink as you shower! That's only if you're not first suffocated by the shower curtain that who knows how many dirty bodies have been in contact with. Eww! Let's say I feel refreshed after showering, but I wouldn't claim to be a whole lot cleaner! :/
We have sooo many more pictures than what we've loaded on the blog, so hopefully when we get to Catherine's we can upload them as well.
Alright, it's off to bed. Breakfast is from 8-9:30 and then we may crawl back in for a nap before our cousin, Catherine arrives! :) Sweet dreams from London!

Marlene Bolen I want some fish and chips. I don't think it can be delivered here :( The description of your little place sounds like the small studio apartment that we ( husband and I ) had when we started out. I'm so excited for you and Andy. Enjoy every minute that you have in London because it will go by so quickly.
