Another bus day today, after successfully dragging Mae from her sleeping bag at 9:30 we packed up the bags and tent and went to the bakery for breakfast. Having an hour before the bus left, we got a couple of coffees and 6 small croissants to eat as well as a drink and another baguette for our lunch. We sat there having breakfast for about 30 mins watching several people go into the bakery and emerge with gigantic bags of bread, possibly all the hostel owners in town who provide breakfast for their guests. Arriving at the bus station with 15 mins to spare we were informed that our bus would be leaving from the other side of the station, but of course you can't walk across the completely deserted tarmac to get there, no you are forced to walk all the way round by the bridge with your heavy bags. Anyway this minor annoyance out of the way we boarded our bus and for the first time in our entire journey left on time!!!!!!!!!!!!! Despite looking exactly the same as the previous bus we took in Brazil this time we had much more comfortable seats and they even played us 2 films in English to watch. (they had asked our nationality when we got on). We also got dinner eventually even if it was served at 10pm, it consisted of a mince empanada, some sort of omelette/quiche thing and some coconut cake along with a couple of cups of coke, we also discovered that there was free coffee available on the bus which we took full advantage of! The journey would have most enjoyable in fact but was severely let down by them turning the air con up so high that we were both freezing and there was no hope of a decent night's sleep!!
