From 6 to 11 we drove in pickups to the Thai border, sitting on our bags which was great fun. From the Thai border we used other forms of transport including a local bus (where my water was stolen) and a rip off taxi ride. We arrived in Bangkok after 12 hours travelling. So after supper in a local restaurant we headed to the famous backpacker road Khao San Road, where we sat in the street drinking strong yet cheap cocktails before hitting an Irish bar or two!

I spent most of the day on Khao San Road; shopping, drinking, eating and getting me ear repierced (in a safe place this time). At 6.30 we met our new tour guide and groupand headed to the same restaurant as the night before. Most of the group then headed to Pat Pong for the supposedly must see ping pong show. It was awful so we headed back to Khao San Road where Merthya (funny Irish guy, spelt wrong) and Tom came with Jon , James and I to Gazebo where we drank pitchers of beer and I sang 'Dont look back in Anger' with the live band!
