Well, the floating Uros islands were amazing, the people their literally eat, sleep and breathe reeds!
The boat journey itself was a bit boring, and Taquile island was just as stimulating. The locals seemed to be pandering to the wants of the tourists and the whole island felt a little staged. But hey ho, it was worth the trip.
Copacabana is tiny. We walked around the whole place in about 2hrs! Saw the church, which the locals gather outside twice daily to have their cars blessed! (hmm, not sure what that says about road travel in Bolivia!) We had a truely disgusting lunch at a local cafe - does anyone else interpret 'taco' as fried object filled with boiled carrots and green beans?! thought not!
Anyway, we later bumped into Karin and Siegrid, our Swedish friends from the Inca trail, and we went out for a much more palitable dinner followed by white russians! It stormed like hell that night and hailed and thundered for hours - brrr, very chilly! We all decided we had had enough of Copacabana and booked tickets to La Paz for the following morning...
