Mark and Andy caught the bus at 6:50 Sat morning in Quesnel. Noted that it said destination was Whitehorse so hope they remembered to change in Prince George!! It is a 13 hour trip to Prince Rupert thru farm land, forest and then along the Skeena river, with many water falls coming down the bank on the other side. Very scenic.
But do not feel to sorry for them on the long trip as they had a good supply of sandwiches, chocolate chip cookies, rice krispie squares, chocolate bars and juice drinks along with their water.
They did not get a chance to put the names on a few of their photos. They have one of the Cottonwood River by the old stopping house Cottonwood House where the photo of the old farm machinery was taken. This is on the road to Barlerbville and we stopped on the way home. They also had a photo of Slocan Specialty Mill now Canfor which was sold and is now being dismantled. As well as a photo of the Canfor Mill--metal clad buildings. The other with the piles of logs and the large building behind in Quesnel River Pulp Mill. Canfor is where George works. I noted on one of their Calgary photos that they had a picture of the Saddle Dome Satdium. You can pick it out by its shape.
Victor says he is missing his walks with Mark and Andy.
We are continuing to have lovely sunny days. Victor wishes to go outside now and I need to dig more grass out of the rhubarb!
Best Wishes Kathie, Victor, Janet , George and Nicole

Andy/Mark,
Photos are amazing we are really really jealous now! Your Mother (Sue Meg) emailed to say there was a webcam message and it had brought a tear to her eye (she'd have been cutting onions at the time)
Keep enjoying everything you do and don't go in for body piercing (well if you do don't send any photos)

Hello Andy & Mark. What fantastic photos! The scenic ones give a good impression of what you're experiencing....as for the non scenic...what can I say? I like the captions....think there may be a career in script writing lurking there. Things are much the same in the UK...how close are Liverpool to resurrecting European glory!! All they have to do is beat Chelsea at Anfield???? Thanks to all the Canadian McC clan for looking after our boy. Keep the phonecalls & photos coming and look after yourselves. Love Dad
Joan

Mark's Mum
Hello Mark & Andy, at last lots of photos, they are brilliant. Your dad and I were laughing at the captions last night. Well what can I say about the tatoo, not keen on them as you know, but have to say a nice thought, not sure where the discreet bit comes in, but there you go! You have both really captured some lovely scenes. Weather looks lovely in Quesnel, sounds like you boys are being spoilt, home made cookies, vegetables straight from the garden, fresly picked fruit, sounds like heaven. Thanks Janet, George & Kathie for looking after Mark and Andy so well, and of course not to forget Victor and Nicole! Dad saw Andrew Broome today and told him about the calf. Did you really mow that grass, I bet you will be getting withdrawal symptoms soon not being on the farm at work. Enjoy the rest of your time in Quesnel and perhaps speak to you before you leave there. Look after yourselves and keep enjoying the dream. Love you lots and thanks for the video clip last weekend. The Logans!
Hey Andy, well we have just seen the photos and they brought a tear to our eyes! It is so good to finally see you in action out there, and by the looks of things you have been lovin it! All the sights are amazing, (not to mention the shadows andy!). tired to phone you on sunday nite, coz we had abit of an all day beer garden tour and ended up in roper listening to the sounds of baywatch's "I'll be ready" and thought of you in those red shorts and just had to call. But couldn't get through so if you've had a dodgy voice mail, its us! Only got about 2 weeks left of Uni-argh but then the family logan are jetting of to the south of france for 2 weeks so will send you a bonjour from there. Chris has got Jimbo and Rob coming down to Macc for the beer festival next weekend, so no doubt there will be comedy moments to tell from that, though Bobby Gill said that it won't be the same without you there to sup up the ales!
well will love you and leave you, miss you loads and loads. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
p.s love the tattoo!xxxxx
Mad Andy And Big Colin

Mark Mc (Grizzly)
Yo!! We have pictures people!!! Me and Andy have been going nuts putting the many pics we have on the website, many thanks to Janet/Kathie here who have helped loads. We still haven't got em all on yet, and they r in no kind of order??!! Hope u like em. We have been here in Quesnel (Kwen-Ell) for a few days on th'farm. I helped a cow calf the other night, amazing! Pulled the little critter out by his hoofs and then pulled him up coz his mama was about to crush him by accident, he's called Mark Junior, although me and his mother don't speak as she's a cow. Would like to take him with me a la Billy Crystal in "City Slickers" but the yanks might think he's a bomb or somethin??? Bin out and about and around Quesnel, up to Barkerville, historic gold rush town of old, and some lovely sights, Bowron lake and Dragon mountain. No snowmobiling this time as there isn't any snow - its been 80 degrees most days, Andy is a nice lobster pink. We r leaving for Prince Rupert on Saturday, then off on our first Alaskan Ferry on 2nd May to Ketchikan. Had purple potatoes the other night, its a different variety apparently, very nice though. Had loads of nice food, homemade cookies, jams etc. and home slaughtered beef etc. Fresh strawberries and blueberries. Its nice to settle again after being on the road and buses etc. Everyone here has been great. Hope u r all well, love to all, Mark.
Marks Dad
Marky,, Andy,
Well what can I say about the photo album, should it be censored !! Andy I should keep looking over your shoulder as that shadow was probably from Big Foot who was just pleased to see you, but could now be stalking you !! As for grizzly Adams the wilderness model, what an imagination or just a real scary thought that one. Andy you looked like little boy lost and tired in the woods on one of the pics. Joking apart seeing the pictures lets us share what a wonderful time and experience you two are having keep the pictures and comments coming we had a good laugh, you two should be on the stage (holding back the curtains !). Mark the video message was great, did Andy do one for Hugh and Sue. Like the one about Andy liking the girl guitarist till he realised it was Mark, I strum the two guitars in your room Mark just so they dont sieze up. We had a really good time in London, walked for miles and miles, hotel was excellent, nearly joined in on a hugh Muslim rally in Trafalger sqaure by mistake. Some of the scenary looks wonderful, keep enjoying yourselfs and watch out for Big Foot (you know what they say about big feet !!!!!!)
Andy's Mum
Hi you two, just had a look at the photo album, very amusing... it made me laugh but also shed a little tear too!!! I miss your humour Andy...(bit of a pause while I pull myself together, oh, just had mental picture of some of your photos...marshmellow man and BD..., right I'm Ok now...). The scenary looks amazing, you are two lucky young men!!! Keep living the dream!!! As you know your Dad and I will be on our mini me world tour in Sept so will catch up with you in New Zealand (if the Barkers will still have us, your Dad made the mistake of giving them a link to your website...they thought we were just a quiet ordinary family...).
Can't wait to see you!!! Keep the phone calls coming. Love you loads plus infinity XXXXXXX Mum XXXXXXXXXXXX
P.S Please say a big thank you to Kathy for putting you up.
