We were well and truly in the Northern Territory! We pulled into the Boab caravan park and set up our site. A nice relaxing day was needed as the heat was just insane! This was another short stop. We made our way to Cloncurry and Jim suggested a caravan park with power instead of the free camp that we were going to stay in. Smart thinking as it was waaaaarm!! The trip to Normanton was only 4 1/2 hours but it felt like forever!! Most of the road was a single but two-way lane. Heaps of road trains came the other way and the first small truck that went by we got half way off the road so we could get past it. Bad move! The truck flicked up a rock that chipped our windscreen. boo!!! From then on we pulled off the road and stopped so that the trucks could have the entire road...which means no flicked up stones!
