This trip as made an unforgettable impact on my life. It has gained me new experiences and amazing memories. I have also learned that you can more easily learn things through traveling. It is way more meaningful to be there were it happened than to just read it in a textbook. It creates this imagery in your mind that really makes an impact that words cannot create. Your mind compiles an image with all five senses, making the experience feel way more alive. People dream of walking in the steps of some legendary founding father and doing what they did, when you could be walking where they walked and following it to see where it leads them. These experiences open up your world and make you feel like there is more out there than a small town in Oklahoma. It makes you realize how small you are compared to the rest of the world. But also how small people can do really big things. The world is constantly changing, you can stay back and confirm with the rest of the world or you can be that voice of change. This is the way you teach kids, you cue your interests and leave them breathless, comprehending what happened. With that you leave an impact on them, an impact that stays with them for the rest of their life. Without you change them and make them a world changer and make them a point of interest on the map, make them standout. Teaching history is not about the dates or memorizing capital cities, it is about seeing where how we are what we are and seeing where we can go, where we can go with voices of change. Teaching has entered a new era, an era of change, an era of change for the world.
