"I just blew in, from the Windy City"
That's right Chicago! First impressions getting off the plane and I was feeling a little lost. One the flight had been delayed I was late and the hostels directions sucked. Still I found it and with out missing a beat went out for a drink with Angela, who's a friend of Ozzie's. Once getting a bit more down town I started to like it a bit more and Angela offered me a spot ins her couch and seeing as I had nothing booked for the next night I chose to take it.
She promised me a proper Chicago meal that night at we want to this little place Chicago Pizza and oven grinder Co. This joint had been on food networks and has amazing deep dish almost pie esk pizzas. The wait was two hours for a table but worth it. Holy crap so tasty. Next day was football day and I went to watch Angela's team play at their bars HQ. This bar was awesome, had baseball batting cages upstairs! I couldn't not take a swing.
After the messy weekend Angela went back to work and seeing as I didn't leave town until 11pm I caught up with a friend of mine who lives near by, Valerie. She toured me around things I may of missed, up the John Handcock building and then to a little micro brewery before getting back on the bus to bail south.
All in all an awesome time in Chicago and I came out liking it a lot more than first thought.
