Andy and Cate Around the World in 80 Days
Today we all ventured out to sea in a glass bottomed boat. We were taken out to snorkel at Buccoo Reef where the super Keyster spotted a Nurse Shark hiding in the corals! It was pretty big, a couple of meters I reckon and pretty still to be honest. It has crossed my mind that perhaps it was plastic put there by the boat people but I hope not.
Moved onto the Reef Gardens and then the 'Nylon Pool' which is a stretch of shallow water in the middle of the sea, must have been a mile off shore. It was class. Apparently, as the locals say, the waters have magical properties and if a couple kiss under water they stay together forever and if you're over 40 your get 10 years younger! Not sure about all that crap but Rich certainly added his little magic to the waters! Dirty B*****d! (check out the photo of Pete and Rich)
That evening Pete and Rich departed back to Trinidad and the rest of us heading off to the Sunday School which unfortunately for our souls didn't involve church. It was a beach party at Buccoo beach and a bit of a festival to show off Tobago talents and milk the tourists of all their hard earned cash. There was a steel drum band, local cuisine, which was amazing, and plenty of Carib and Rum punch! Even a homemade casino, shoddy but fun.
We ended up staying till 2am and having a good dance, some of us more than others eh Sarah? (and you Jenny)
