Congratulations on getting the job, you do not let the grass grow under your feet do you. It was wonderful to speak to you the other morning. Do thank your hosts for letting you use their phone. You are really having a great time. Seeing new countries and having exciting adventures. Your photos have been spectacular and many thanks for all tghe cards received. We too have been having excitin g times but more like problems. Just to give you a resume....the old Proton has gone to the scrapyard in the sky.....we got $60 for it. Then the matrix heater went on the Citroen and a week later the windscreen cracked. The washing machine went wrong followed by the central heating boiler ....a costly replacement and a long delivery. Been without heat for over 6 weeks now - we are in long johns and coms....very sexy. Then we had suspected virus on the computer hence no messages sent to you. This is to name but a few. One good bit of news.....Chelsea won 6-0 against Man. City. Everyone3 here in Sussex are fine... Katie is lovinh Uni and has been made cook and now cooks for 6-8 on a Sunday. Seems to run in the family. James is back from Germany where he had a fantastic time. Had rugby truials at school, was picked for team. scored two tries and then went out to buy the rules. David and Jade have been down to stay and it was lovely to see them. We will write again soon now that the computer is up and running. Love to you both and keep safe. Good luck for Monday.

Hi to you both!!
Hope you are well... Yay!! U went to fox and franz josef glaciers! I also went up onto Franz Josef with a guide.its the best thing ive ever done!! You dont realise just how big the glacier is do you? When you are standing across the terraine looking at it infront of you, you seem to think the walk towards it wont take that long, but it takes ages!! Its only when you are there and you look up,you can see how big it is. I see you also went down into a crevasse too!:-) Some of them are so scary and deep though. The guides are brilliant though. We had a welsh guy who was working over there for 6 months!
And you have experienced the RAIN!!!! For anyone else reading this, when they say its terrential, its 10 times what we would call our terrential, and it doesnt stop!! I remember having soggy sandwiches because even your waterproofs get drenched!! Haha.
ANyway hope you are both having a fab time.I check your site regularly for new photos and an update. Im so jelous!!
Take Care

Ps. andrew-sort that beard out!!!!! haha
The Godfather
Hi to you both,
Glad to hear the skiving and partying are still going strong.
Thank you for the post card. The picture of cows in a field by a lake with mountains in the background could have been almost anywhere but the lack of people and litter makes me think you really could be in New Zealand. The scenery looks fantastic, it really does look a great place to live, all they have to do to make it perfect is get rid of those annoying tourists in their camper vans.
I don't understand why your mom thinks your beard makes you unemployable Andrew, I think it opens up endless possibilities. We have put up with Rolf Harris and his stubble for years so I think we can inflict your beard onto the people of the Antipodes. With the season of goodwill approaching you could always don one of those silly hats you are so fond of and become one of Santa's little helpers. If you could find a check shirt you could be a lumberjack or an extra in the Village People revival video ( I saw a photo of you being picked up by a young man, I must have a serious word with you). I have been trying to remember where I have seen something like your beard before, now I remember, it was a rusty brillo pad,so there you go, another job as pot washer. But wait, now I have it, the perfect job, a pantomime stage act: " Brillo, The Ginger Whinging Pom". You could even include a bit of painting with the catchphrase "do you know what it is yet". If they don't like your act they could upend you a shove your head down the dunny. A few shakes of the head and you would clean under the rim beautifully. Dare you keep your beard as you head towards Oz?? It's given us all a laugh so far.
Must go now, lunch break is nearly over
Love to you both from your serious and almost respectable Godfather
Catherine
