We have spent a total of six days in Cuzco, three prior to the Inca Trail and three after and we have not really done a great deal apart from chilling out in the day and partying at night!
Before the Inca Trail we were preparing all our stuff for the trail and generally partying, celebrating my birthday and after the Inca Trail we have been recovering from colds and again partying! It has been a nice change from sight seeing and a good chance to really let our hair down!
Cuzco is a very touristy town, mainly for Machu Picchu! It is very clean with beautiful colonial buildings and you can get everything you need in the central Plaza de Armas or the many markets which all sell the same things so it is a good chance to practise our haggling skills!
We have been particuarly taking advantage of the free drinks and five course meals for 10 soles offers that are everywhere. The restaurants and bars will literally fight each other for your business it is crazy! We have had a few good nights out in clubs that play very random music, anything from Salsa to Drum and Bass (after Andrew went in the DJ booth to download some anyway!!)
So tonight we catch a 12 hour night bus to Nazca, with Debbie and Grant, the Aussie couple from the Inca Trail!
Hope everyone is well and will be in touch soon!
Love Sarah and Andrew xxx
