During our 5 days in Bangkok Peter and I visited the Grand Palace, The Reclining Buddha and went on a tour to see the bridge over the river Kwai. I can't really say much about the Grand Palace and the Buddha as we didn't really know what we were looking at!!!. The tour up to the river Kwai was really good. We were picked up from our hotel at 6.30 in the morning and then driven North of Bangkok. The first stop was a look around the war cemetry were the prisoners of war who died building the railway are buried. After that it was a short drive to the Bridge itself and a look through a war museum and a talk on how the bridge was built etc etc. Then it was onto a train and a trip along 'Death Railway', not as exciting as it sounds. I have put some photos on here from our trips in Bangkok. We also experienced the nightlife on offer in Bangkok and its pretty eye opening to say the least. Every time we stepped out of our hotel we saw something wierd and wonderful. We spent most of our nights along Khoa San road, the beer is so cheap its wonderful.
