Arrived safely in London. We have had a very good nights sleep and have spent the last two days with Stewart, Maureen, Adam, Lucie and Rico. The boys have spent alot of time running around, enjoying the fresh air, and space. Back to normal food which included 'cheese scones' - thank you Stewart.
We went for a swim on Monday with Maureen, Lucie and Rico (his first swim.) It was lots of fun even though the Fun Police did their best to ruin it!! Lucie was watching while Maureen took Rico in the pool and she was told she wasn't allowed to sit and watch. (Watching isn't allowed!) She had to stand in the doorway of the Ladies changing room and watch from there. We weren't allowed to take photos either!
First Day in London
Today we went on first adventure using the underground and bus system. Both Jack and Ben worked out how to use the underground pretty quickly and probably would've enjoyed riding the tubes all day. We stopped at Piccadilly Circus then walked down to Knightsbridge to Harrods and Hard Rock Cafe. Got the usual souvenirs and got home about 5.00. Jack slept from 5.00 until 7.00 the next morning and the rest of us from about 7.00.
Day Two in London
Today we started at Big Ben....George has been waiting for this for so long. We got the photos then headed towards the Tower of London. The boys were allowed to decide whether to go in for a tour or get the cash.....cash won! We got some photos and walked halfway across Tower Bridge. Fish and Chips for lunch which weren't too bad.
After lunch Mike took Jack and Ben to Lords and Abbey Road while George and I came home so he could rest. (Me too!)
Day Three in London
Today we finally managed to get an early start. Ben was in charge of navigating us through the Underground and he did a very good job. First stop was Buckingham Palace where we watched the changing of the guard. We then went to Trafalgar Square and St Pauls. We finished the day at Camden Town market where the boys managed to spend some money on T-Shirts and souvenirs. We had Fish and Chips with Stewart, Maureen, Adam, Lucie and Rico which was very nice and a great way to end the day.
Today Mike, Jack and Ben went to a football game with Adam....Fulham vs Manchester United. They had a great time and may have even been convereted to support another team!! We have had a great week in London....we have been spoilt and taken care of by Stewart and Maureen and the kids. Thanks for everything you have done for us this week guys....love you lots xxxx.

Oomp & Gram Hi All. You must be wondering why we haven't written, well in fact I have, the only problem being I wasn't putting in the email address, I didn't think it was a neccessary as you already knew it. It wasn't until I asked Jamie why we couldn't see our comments but could see his that he explained the reason why. Never mind, I hope this one gets through. We are waiting for Andrew, Tania & the kids to get back from Auckland they were going to arrive today but put it off until tomorrow. They must be having a good time. We were wondering if that 4th little body playing football with the boys could be smuggled back with you. What a little darling he is. I hope the boys are keeping their diaries up to date, we are looking forward to all the 1st hand news when they arrive back. Jack should have bowled a few overs while he was at Lords he could have explained he was feeling the place out before his next visit. Lamb Chop hasn't been seen for a while I hope George hasn't eaten him/her. How is Mike standing the pace ?,he must be b*****ed trying to keep up with boys and you are not even half way yet. No more sunburn and blisters I hope, that must have slowed you down for a while. Jamie & Ryan are putting on a mid winter Xmas dinner for all of us on Saturday we are really looking forward to that. At long last spring is starting to show itself, the Plum tree is starting to send out green buds and a few blossom trees are starting to flower, temperatures are slowly starting to rise (thank god) and the daylight is starting to lengthen out should be just about right for you when you get back. Well enough for now I don't want to write too much in case this one doesn't reach you. Give our love to Stewart, Maureen, Adam & Lucy, give that little guy a big kiss from Gram & Oomp. Love to all of you. G & O.
Catriona Hi Gram & Oomp Good to hear from you, hope all is well with you both. Its great to be here in London and catch up with Stewart and the family. We've spent time with them most days and its been fun. Rico is totally gorgious and taken to the big boys...as you will have seen in the photos. We've suffered a little from over tiredness but seem to be better now. The last three days in London have been busy so tomorrow we go to Kingsdon for a little shopping :-) No more sunburn or blisters, though I think a little heat exhaustion..the heat/humidity in Washington was really difficult. We walked around with backpacks full of water bottles! Lamb Chop is fine...just a little jet lagged. Ben has threatened to wring her neck and there have been moments when we have all been a little embarrassed as Mike has put her out for a photo shoot....definately not cool for the boys. Enjoy your mid winter christmas dinner...say merry christmas to everyone for me lol!!! Lots of love to you both, take care Triona, Mike, Jack, Ben and George xxxx
