We left Lower Langford for London and stopped at Stonehenge on the way. The boys were very impressed by it's size, even George commented that it was really big.We spent one last evening with Stewart and Maureen, Adam, Lucie and Rico, and one last day repacking all of our bags. All that hockey gear!! (Not my shopping!) Our experience at Heathrow Airport trying to drop off the rental car was a bit hair raising - but we managed to get there after a few wrong turns. ...

Today we left the canal boat and drove down to Bath. We spent the afternoon in the Village and took a tour of the Baths. Apart from the Baths, Bath is a lovely place and so are the surrounding villages. Tonight we are spending the night in a little village called Lower Langford. We're staying in an Inn with a huge spa bath, hot hairdryer and lots of running water....hurrah!

Three days on a Canal Boat!! What to say about that ...haha. There were good times and there were bad times. 5 people living in a very narrow boat under 'sometimes' stressful situations. We drove up from London to Manchester on 23/8/10. Mr GPS kept giving us alternative routes which we accepted so it took a little longer than expected....thank you Wendy and Diana for being so patient and feeding us at the end of our very long trip. Mike did comment that having a GPS was like having another voice in the car chipping at him..LOL. Arrived safely in London. We have had a very good nights sleep and have spent the last two days with Stewart, Maureen, Adam, Lucie and Rico. The boys have spent alot of time running around, enjoying the fresh air, and space. Back to normal food which included 'cheese scones' - thank you Stewart.
