My first day in Kerkyra today. It was so hot! It's definitely still summer here. I got up at around 10:00 and ate breakfast with Noula. I then set out to do some walking in the old town. It must have been fate, because I was wanting to find the new fort, but had no map or idea where it was. About an hour into walking I stumbled across it!! It was just beautiful, seeing out across the rooftops and over the ocean practically to Albania.

I walked and walked and at around 1:00pm returned home to have lunch with Noula. Her nurse (also Anastasia) had suggested that I might want to have a coffee with her daughter, Chrisanthe who speaks very good english. She rang at around 2:00pm to say she would meet me at 5:30pm.

Her and her sister Artie are lovely and we had a great time! I now know anpther drink to order here: krio tsai lemoni. Iced tea with lemon (very nice!!) I am meeting them later tonight where Chrisanthe is working to have a drink. I hope am able to make it, we're meeting at 11:30pm. I'll probably fall asleep and not wake up.

I think tomorrow I will head to the beach in the morning, try and get some colour. You would not believe how white I feel with the amazing Greek bodies that are wandering around!
