Alarm ringing at 6.30!! 6.30 is that the right time…..oh yes….its elephant time!! Hahaha! Of we went with a trumpty trump!! Ha sorry couldn't resist! So, a mini bus picked us up from our hostel at nearly half 8. Off we went n picked up the rest (ha sorry I got that stupid neely the elephant tune in my head now lol!) of our group 9 in total, sarah n dom from England, one american girl with her Malaysian blokey, then a married couple from Kuala Lumpar, and a student thai girl from the tour company. We all headed straight to an elephant farm, where to start with was 15 minutes of play itme with the younger smaller elephants - they were AMAZING!!! Really playful some of them were! Chucking it down all day too so they were hyper from that I think! But then they did a show! Ha it was soo cool! They were dancing to music, walking along beams, playing football/basketball, playing instruments, standing/walking on 2 feet, doing alsorts! They were quality!!
Then that was it, the 2 of us jumped onto our elephant - Natalie - n headed on our jungle trek for an hour! It was wicked! We had a guide who was hilarious singing all time n being a pleb always saying oh my god, 200 baht oh my god!! We went up n over water, through loads of trees, n mud it was awesome! Until we went to go down into the river/stream bit, n it was bit too steep n she made me slid off into the guide in front - like underneath the rope n made me stand on her poor ear!! I crapped my pants! We were real high up n heading face down into this muddy-skanky water! I thought that was it - im coming off this bloody thing!! But no - luckily the guide stopped me n I stayed on my seat - just! Watch the video cause I was actually videoing at that point n caught the whole thing!! Lol!
After the elephant trek we headed down stream on a bamboo raft - another different form of transport that was cool! This took us to our Ox cart that took us on again to our buffet lunch! What a wicked morning! The elephants were so damn cool, and the bamboo rafts, but the ox - well they just stank big time rough! Lol. Well worth the £11.40 for the days experience lol! The afternoon took us onto an orchard n butterfly farm - got you some pics mum of some foreign plants!! Are you proud?? Lol! It was ok there I suppose but we were still hyper after being up on a real elephant for an hour!!
Quality day!!
Headed back to our hostel for a wash - smelt like the ox's I think! N sorted out net few days left in Chiang Mai!
