Heya,
Hope you are all well? Before I forget Happy Birthday Holly!
So yesterday was the Hunter Valley Day Tour - Wine Tasting.
Had an absolutely amazing time! Started by getting up early and walking up to the office with Toni, a girl that is sharing my dorm! Our bus driver, Hog was hilarious! Providing us with much useful facts or not as the case seemed to be. He even told me I could eat Koala Bears and I believed him. Really must stop be so gullable. It was a short drive to an Aboriginal National Park, our first stop. It was soo pretty, a lake in the middle and loads of trees. Pictures to follow when ive figured out how to do it. On the bus we met 3 guys who were really funny. After a short stop we arrived at the first vine yard. After tasting a few wines, even a Red Champange which was lovely. I was feeling a bit woozy. We sat with the guys and Hog and ate lunch in between laughing so hard. The guys had not been to sleep from the night before. My kinda people lol. We also fed some cows, random I know. It was a rather long drive to the next vineyard, where I was nicknamed Lobster. I am so badly burnt from the sun that i have blisters on my face and nose. Nice and attactive I can tell you.
At the next vineyard it was pretty much game over, we (well actually just me and toni) were sooo drunk. Was sooo funny, I just kept knocking back the wine. Everyone elses buckets were full, ours was empty. Haven't quite got the hang off the spitting out bit. lol. I actually thought I was going to pass out as it was sooo hot and I was very drunk! We all got back on the bus and went to the final stop. Thank goodness!
At the last vineyard, i terrorised the poor man doing the wine tasting. Not sure he was very impressed. By this point, the 3 guys, toni and I were beyond drunk. The guys even brought a bottle for the trip home. More alcohol was definately not needed.
When we got back we met another girl who had just moved into our dorm, her name is Nikki. We grabbed some food. Japanese noodles - I can tell you that i never ever wanna see them again. It was like supping up worms. Not pleasent when you have a tummy full of wine. After we ordered, saw them, ate a mouthful we left and went to the bar by the hostel. Goodnose how much beer later, a packet of cigarettes, a bucket later, and no money left (Beer is very expensive) it was 3.30am and time to call it a day. To sum up - this day was AWESOME.
Today, suprisingly I am not hungover. So Toni, Nikki, and I are heading to Manly on the boat! To go and soak up some rays (well actually its raining but hey ho)
My plans have changed, I am staying here til Wednesday now, and I wont be doing the oz experience until a little bit later. I have been in touch with a few working hostel. I am going to do my fruit picking first. Travel second.
Take care. Thanks for all your messages.
Lots of Love Amy x x x x
