It was another fairly gloomy day although it didn't rain as much as yesterday. We wanted to make the most of today as we didn't do much yesterday so we got up early and headed to Gastown. Well not a great deal to write home about today. It's been raining all day!! We only ventured out today to get some bits in for dinner. We've trying to plan where we're heading to next and for how long so we can get hostels booked and transport sorted. Our next stop is going to be Whistler which is only 2hr 30mins from Vancouver. It was another lovely sunny day today. We headed out early afternoon and took the train and the bus over to Granville Island. What a beautiful day- the sun was shining and it was lovely and warm. We headed to Stanley Park which is recognized as one of the greatest urban parks of the world. It was massive-you would need a whole day to get around it as it covers 100 acres! Well today has been a day of mixed emotions. I was feeling quite disheartened this morning. It was absolutely chucking it down. We left the hostel, were soaking wet and didn't have a clue what we were doing or where we were going. We managed to find the train station (which is right next to the biggest mall in Vancouver!
