We arrived in vang veing after a freezing cold journey and it was just as cold and rainy in vang veing. We couldn't get into the hostel we had found online but we found some new bungalows around the corner, so stayed there it was 130,000 kip and they gave us fRee breakfsst. It was so cold that we had to ask for an extra duvet each. We had a burger in the kangaroo sunset bar for tea, then went to the Irish bar, here we played ping pong and foosball. Joe lost a game to tessa so had to go over the road to the club/bar by himself do a shot and dance alone for 60 seconds. We then met some French guys who wanted I play drinking games with them, they showed us a good game then we played fives with them. After the Irish bar shut we went to our first laos nightclub. There was a crazy massage lady who clicked all of our necks! When we arrived at the guest house the gate was shut so we had to climb over! I got stuck at the top!

The next day we didn't get up in time for breakfast and the weather was still really bad, so we went to a cafe to watch friends. Emily and I also went to therapeutic yoga. For dinner we went to a crazy Korean restaurant. When we sat down they gave us a big bottle of water to share, a big pot of soup, rice, pig intestine, BBQ pork, kimchi and a few other bits. The food was really good and different to what we had been eating. The next day we booked to go caving and kayaking. The weather had improved slightly but was still over cast, rained a few times, and when you came out of the water you was freezing! The caves were fun fully clothed and in our life jackets we sat in our tubes and pulls our way through the caves. We then had some lunch. Then took a very sloppy walk back to the vans to change location for kayaking. We kayaked back to town stopping off at one of the tubing bars to warm up on the fire. Joe and Tess ended up falling out of their kayak twice! Back in town the travel agents/their guest house let us get changed into warm clothes for our bu journey to vientiane, in our quest to find the sub again!
