Monday 13 July We spend time replacing our bags in order to fit the tent and mattress in to take with us. The bags look full! Mal searches for a reasonable rental car - and funds one eventually. Sunday 12 July A relaxing morning. Malcolm is able to sleep in. It's warmer today with the sun making an appearance. We leave around 11 and head to to Seattle. It takes longer than expected due to accidents and slow traffic. We enjoy the waterfront piers and check out pikes market. Then it's time to fine a campground. Saturday 11 July We get up and enjoy breakfast. It's so nice to be with ppl! We have a relaxing time and then head out to check the sites out! We see so many beautiful spots. River, forests, waterfalls and lakes! We go up to the lodge at mount hood. It's chilly up there! The lodge it's old but amazing and rustic inside. There is even some snow in the mountain side. Friday 10 July Up for breakfast and in our way. It's a nice drive up the coast. About 1-2 pm we start to head into portland. It's a really nice city with heaps of trees. We stop at a park and walk around the rose gardens. We head to Keith's house and stop at the supermarket on the way. It's great to see friends again.

Thursday 9 July We wake refreshed to rain. It's hard to want to get up. The temperature was just right for a good sleep. We pack up and leave and eat snacks on the way. We travel all day with a few stops. We go to a drive through tree over 2100 years old. The discount grocery store is interesting and get some good deals.
