We are up and packed and ready for breakfast before 7:30. We leave about 8:30. A bit later than planned. The van isn't a great experience due to a petrol/diesel smell plus the roads. We have to stop a while in road works. There is much less horns here, but the driving can still be scary. As ppl pass dangerously and ppl can drive faster as there are not as many cars. It's very pretty coming in. Lakes and mountains. Just out of pokhara we stop for chai. Out side all the petrol stations there are lines of scooters and motor bikes. All awaiting their turn. We have ask directions to the hotel as our guide hasn't been in pokhara for a while and not to this hotel. We get our room and relax for a while. It's sunny but cold inside. Malcolm closed the windows and outs the heater on. Too bad the power cuts out.
We go for a walk around the town and end up doing some shopping. Good to support the locals although some of the prices seem a bit high, considering. We get some more money out after meeting some others from our group who recommend an ATM that let's you get lots out for 1 fee. Malcolm goes back for a snooze and I wander around more shops and get a view of the lake. I get a few fun Accessories. I sit on the stairs trying to get the most out of the terrible wifi. Malcolm's up when I return after the power returned and the TV blared. The power continues to go on and off. We meet for dinner and the first place is expensive, so we only stay for drinks then find a cheaper rooftop place for dinner. But maybe it wasn't a great choice as it literally takes hours for the food to come. It's about 10:30 when we get back. Thankfully there is HOT good showers! First one since we arrived India. Awesome.
