Tuesday 15 December I wake to what sounds like a call to prayer. Not long after, the elephants behind the hotel trumpet loudly. An interesting alarm clock to say the least. Monday 14 December The sheet creeps in the night. I don't want to worry about it, just sleep. We awake to the alarm. Ah! It's 8 and we are supposed to be at breakfast! Sunday 13 December The hotel hallways are very echoey and there are ppl being very loud. At 1:30am Malcolm calls up to complain and also to ask for water, but ends up cancelling it. Sleep is very patchy after that. We learn later our guide called them up 3 times. But it seems nothing was done. Some shushing was done too by another in our group.
