Friday 12 June
There must have been less than 10 ppl on our 10 hour bus ride! Seems almost a waste. But hey, we make it to san cristobal!
We wait at the bus station a little while- it's barely 7 in the morning. Malcolm goes and buys some water. Some ppl approach us about hostels to stay in. I ask about a city bus-apparently there is one. We head off toward our hostel. They let us store our luggage and even have breakfast even though check in is not till one! We meet a family from uk/Australia. The father and son are taking Spanish classes. We head off in search of tours and buses. It turns out the cheapest best deal tour is from the hostel and there are two little tram cars that can drive around the city on a tour. The Sydney lady, jane from Ireland comes with us. I'm very hungry after the tour and buy done snacks to tie us over till the restaurant I want to eat at is open. We go in search for some decent avocados as the stuff at the main store where too hard. We find a small store and buy a few avocados and an onion for guacamole tomorrow. We spend a restful afternoon and then check out falafels for dinner. The first place has the most flavour, but the second is the biggest servings!
