Friday 20 November
It's nice to have kitchen access and enjoy good food! Once I'm ready we head out to see Siena! It's a short walk to the main public square. It's a wide arch with a fountain at the top all gently sloping to a drain at the bottom. Inside a courtyard we see statues of very fat ladies in different poses. We see more all over the city. At the cathedral we have to wait around for the info centre to open. It appears that the town isn't an early riser! After getting a basic not very informative map from the info centre we walk down to a small park and then out of the city, Opps. But the view is lovely. We make our way back to the cathedral and Malcolm buys a ticket to get in. Turns out there isn't much to see here! Next we head over to the fortress. It's well set out and a popular spot for exercisers! We walk around collecting acorns and chestnuts to hit targets over the walls. We then walk back to the b&b via an ATM and relax as well as enjoy dinner of pizza and chips.
