I wake way too early when I wanted to sleep in. There is a movie on called click. About a magical remote that allows you to mute, fast forward, volume up/down etc. The guy ends up missing most of his life and it gets to where he can fix it coz the remote goes on auto from learned behaviours. The importance of now. The good and the bad.
Our friends message and tell us we can leave our bags in their room. We pack up and head to their floor. We decide to go out for drinks and plan our day: summer palace, stadium and temple of heaven. It takes a long time on the subway and a line change to get to the summer palace stop and it's not as simple as just walking in! We can find it! We wander around and eventually meet up with a guy Chris who is also looking for the palace. We figure it out and find the palace and get tickets. It's quite nice and there are artefacts around too. Lots of walking and nice buildings. It's very hazy today. It's hard to imagine the last two days where real! Eventually we find all our stops and head back to the subway to head to the stadium. It's about 4pm. It's actually good we where later in the afternoon as it appears there was a marathon on in the area today. It's being packed up. We get lots of cool photos. We head back to the hotel and make it about 4-5 min before their meeting starts! What good timing. We get our bags and head to the subway to go to our hostel. It's not straight forward. And a long dark street but we make it. The room is nice and wifi ok. Cheaper than we had previously booked too. Yay. Looking forward to rest. My calves have been aching all day from the stairs yesterday. Mild colds also bug us. Sleep sleep sleep please.
