We got to the outskirts of Wagga Wagga and Luke was getting ready to overtake a car when the mighty Patrol decided she didn't want to have a fifth gear anymore! We putted into Wagga and parked in a shopping centre car park. The weather was foul, cold and raining! We decided it was too yucky to camp. We stopped at Benanee Lake rest stop to make camp! It was horrid weather and the sky showed more to come! We quickly got some shelter up before the rain started to get heavier. You can definitely tell that we are getting close to home, the weather is changing dramatically with every hundred kms, getting colder and colder! The wind has been strong as well so we had to make sure we tied everything that would flap down!

We stopped along the road next to the Murray Darling River for a quick lunch! We saw some fish leaping out of the water making a huge splash!

We are staying at Broken Hill tonight! We went up to the look out / restaurant / museum which is on top of an old mines pile of dirt and rocks! The view was beautiful!! Unfortunately the winds were gale force so we didn't stay up there for long! This giant chair was up there!

We went to Silverton today, it is where Mad Maxx was filmed! We saw some of the cars that were used in the movie! We also went to the Silverton pub, which has been used in several movies and adverts, each time using a different name! This is where they first mined Silver before Broken Hill! The town has a population of 65 people.
