We left kings Canyon and headed for Alice Springs! The road was so straight you could see it way off into the distance! (The picture doesn't do it justice!!) while on the highway we saw a wild camel, wild horses and, believe it or not, wild donkeys!! ('Wild Asses' in Wade's words!)

We packed up camp and drove to the Kings Canyon. There are two walks you can do, one 3-4hour one which was quite steep and went around the rim of the canyon and an hour one which was easy and went through the base of the canyon! Luke and I decided to do the easy walk, while Tim, Sharon and Wade did the rim walk. Luke and I sat on a rock in the creek running through the bottom, it was so peaceful and beautiful! The weather was perfect!

After seeing the Olgas we drove to kings Canyon. We got there pretty late so we booked into the caravan park straight away. It was packed!! There were a few dingoes walking around, while we were setting up camp Wade and I saw one running into the bushes with a plastic bag full of what we think was rubbish which it had just pinched! While Luke was cooking dinner on the camp BBQ another dingo was watching us! At 2am the next morning one stood at our site and howled...

We drove out to see the Olgas! We walked to the first viewing area, the view was beautiful!

Sharon and I got up early and went on a sunrise camel tour! Our camels name was Sterlo. The fog was low again so we missed out on seeing the rock altogether but we still had a great time! When we got back to the camel farm we had a damper breakfast. Instead of getting the shuttle bus back to the camp site, Tim came and picked us up, as we were the last people there the owner gave us some left over damper and let us feed the baby camel, Scruffy!
